Dr. Geeth Monnappa is a Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at SPARSH Hospital for Women & Children, Bangalore.
Dr. Geeth Monappa graduated from Kasturba Medical College Mangalore in 2004.
She completed her diploma in obstetrics and Gynaecology from J.N. Medical College, Belgaum in 2006 where she topped the college and stood second in Rajiv Gandhi University.
She completed her DNB at St. Philomena’s Hospital. Post her graduation, she has worked and been a teacher to postgraduates in some of the busiest and most prestigious hospitals in India including Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, Nair Hospital, Mumbai, and St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru, and gained a vast experience in the management of high-risk pregnancies and non-descent vaginal surgeries. She has undergone a FOGSI recognized training course on basic ultrasound in Mumbai in 2010.
Her keen interest in Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy has been strengthened by various training programs in Radhakrishna Multispeciality Hospital and IVF Center and The Gynaecological Endoscopy training program in basic and advanced laparoscopy imparted by Dr. Ramesh in Altius Hospital, Bangalore.
She further trained in Kochi in advanced Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy and is capable of doing various diagnostic and operative laparoscopic procedures.
She has a fellowship in minimally invasive gynaecology, with focus on laparoscopic hysterectomy (Affiliated to American association of gynaecological laparoscopists and Indian association of gynaecological endoscopists).
Dr. Geeth has published various articles in indexed journals related to high-risk pregnancy and fibroid uterus. She has won the best paper on various occasions on topics related to ectopic gestation, morbidly adherent placenta, and sexual dysfunction.
Dr. Geeth believes in empowering women through education and counseling and is keen on creating awareness and improving adolescent health.
