Dr. Karthik Vishwanath is a board-certified, internationally trained, distinguished consultant plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon.After his MBBS and Masters degree in General Surgery(M.S), his artistic, innovative, and meticulous approach towards surgery made him super specialize further by doing Magister Chirurgiae (M.Ch) in Plastic and reconstructive surgery from the renowned M.S. Ramaiah medical college,Bangalore,INDIA.
During his training, he had the opportunity to visit and learn from various premier institutes like Tata memorial hospital Mumbai for cancer reconstruction, Ganga hospital Coimbatore for Hand surgery, and also hands-on microvascular training.
He has over 16 years of rich surgical experience and over 13 years of experience in the field of Plastic surgery.
Dr. Karthik has worked for the NHS in England and gained higher levels of skill and finesse.His holistic approach towards patients and their management has helped him develop excellent rapport with patients.
His specialty interests led him to complete a fellowship in Breast and Microvascular surgery from the World Famous center i.e Broomfield hospital, Chelmsford, UK. Here he was trained under prominent and celebrated surgeons of international repute. He further went on to pursue an International training fellowship from Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, one of the top, high volume centers,in the UK catering to the entire East of England.
On return from the UK, Dr. Karthik was associated with Fortis Cunningham Road as consultant plastic surgeon and also free lancing aesthetic surgery practice pertaining to liposuction, breast surgeries, rhinoplasties and hair transplantation.
He has previously worked as Consultant Plastic surgeon at K.S.Hegde Medical academy (NITTE UNIVERSITY) and Tejaswini hospital,Mangalore, INDIA.
Dr. Karthik has appeared in several TV Shows, radio interviews, and talks on awareness of different subspecialties in Plastic surgery .He was actively involved in the team which was instrumental in setting up and managing the BURNS UNIT at K.S.Hegde Medical academy (NITTE UNIVERSITY) .He has taken part in several Rural camps and done charitable Plastic surgery for the poor. He has contributed to scientific research and publications in the field of plastic surgery.
