Dr. Nidhi Rawat completed her MBBS from HIMS, Dehradun, DNB (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) from St. John’s Medical College Hospital (SJMCH) Bangalore and post-Doctoral fellowship in Neurological Rehabilitation from NIMHANS, Bengaluru. She previously worked as an Associate Professor in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at St.John’s Medical College Hospital (SJMCH), Bangalore. She has clinical experience of more than 10 years in the management of individuals with disability secondary to neurological and musculoskeletal illness. Her other expertise includes treatment and rehabilitation of Diabetic neuropathy including diabetic foot ulcers. She is also trained in rehabiltation of individuals with amputation secondary to trauma or disease, for pre-prosthetic and prosthetic advice and training. She has played a key role in treatment as well as rehabiltation of Covid-19 patients. She believes in a holistic team approach towards rehabilitation of her patients and a firm advocate of enabling the disabled. She is a member of IAPMR (Indian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) and KARM (Kaveri Association of Rehabilitation Medicine) She has many national and international level publications under her name. She has worked in collaboration with IIT-Madras and carried out the clinical trial on the Arise standing wheelchair for the differently abled. She has also received the Rastriya Gaurav Award in the year 2022, for her meritorious work in the field of rehabilitation.
