Demonstrating a profound interest in Infectious Diseases, Dr. Tharanath furthered his expertise by completing an International Training Fellowship in Infectious Diseases and Travel Medicine at St James’ University Hospital in Leeds, Europe’s largest hospital. During the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a pivotal role in the management of COVID patients and was an integral part of the post-COVID team at Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, particularly in the pre-vaccination phase.
Dr. Tharanath’s areas of specialization encompass Tropical Infections, HIV and opportunistic infections, Tuberculosis, Bacteraemia, H1N1, COVID, Travel Medicine, and vaccinations.
